Ipsy August 2015 Review

Welcome back for my August Ipsy Bag review.  Ipsy is a  $10 monthly subscription beauty bag. This month’s theme is a “Back to School” theme complete with the super cute houndstooth bag.

This is the Jessie’s Girl Eye Shadow Primer

I have never heard of this brand before but I liked the formula and consistency of the primer. I tried it out under my eyeshadow and I can’t say I saw that much of a difference in terms of my eyeshadow fading. I have never really had an issue with my eyeshadow fading, so maybe it is just me.

This is the Hikari Lips Gloss in Merlot

This is another brand I have never heard of before. I loved this color, it is a beautiful berry, perfect for the summer -fall transition. The formula was a tad sticky but the color payoff was great.

Next is the Doucce Cosmetics  Eyeliner in Black

Another brand I haven’t heard of. This pencil went on super smooth and lasted for a long time. I don’t think this is a true black more like soft or smoky black.

Marc Anthony  Nourishing Argan Oil  of Morocco.

I have extremely dry hair, so I was really excited for this because I will take all the hair oils I can get. With that being said, I really liked this product. It smelled great and was very lightweight, it did not weigh down my hair.

Aila Nail Polish in Mister Pookies

Love the name! This color was absolutely beautiful, its the perfect fall purple-gray. It reminded me of Essie’s Smoking Hot shade.  The formula was smooth and took only one coat for opacity but I used two coats, because thats how I roll. LOL
