So here I am almost 39 weeks pregnant scrolling old vacation pics because I need a Vacay! Looking through old pictures always fills me of feelings of gratitude; one of my favorite place we’ve ever been to was Spain. So today I’m going to relive Barcelona with you.
Barcelona was absolutely fantastic- it is still one of my favorite destinations ever. The city, the food, the culture, the people … it’s all just so beautiful.
-What to see-
The architecture is on another level inspired. Of course, that is to be expected from a city with so much of Antoni Gaudi’s designs.
Park Guell was absolutely magical
Sagrada Familia was honestly the most beautiful church I have ever stepped into
Casa Batillo: Perfection!
La Rambla
Gothic Quarter
Casa Mila
La Boqueria- we came here every day for snacks =)
Montserrat
Montjuic Castle
Tibidabo
Salvador Dali Museum- unfortunately, we didn’t have time to do this
-Where to eat-
Spain is the ultimate destination for foodies. The restaurants in Barcelona were on another level amazing. Just thinking back to the food makes my mouth water!
Disfrutar- EXTRAORDINARY!!!!! TBH I would fly back to Barcelona JUST to eat at this restaurant again. I have dreams about how exquisite the food was. Every dish that came out was PURE art that somehow tasted even better than it looked. Absolutely worth every penny and ALL the stars!
ABaC- this was a last-minute reservation that we got, we were starving and looking for a place to have a late dinner on Sunday night, lo and behold we go to ABaC which is a Michelin Star (unbeknownst to us) restaurant and had THE most amazing 14-course dinner.
Quimlet Y Quimlet-ABSOLUTLEY HEAVENLY! Standing room only Tapas bar
4Gats- Classic cafe where Picasso frequented, great for a mid-afternoon- pick-me-up cup of coffee.
Tapas24- So Delicious! Great for late-night/ drunk eating! Hehe!
Cerveceria Catalana- Super good! Late-night find!
For I Oli- Amazing Sandwiches
Xiringuito Escriba- Freaken good paella
Bar Pinotxo- Located in La Boqueria- INCREDIBLE!!!!!
Dry Martini- such a cute speakeasy-style lounge with THE most delicious drink
Tickets- Was on our list but we couldn’t get a reservation in time
-What to wear-
So we went at the beginning of November, and the weather was perfect! Not too cold and not hot and no rain! I always love to wear skirts and dresses on vacay- its great because it’s easy, helps me transition from day- night wear, and I’ll never risk being under-dressed. The main thing is always; I repeat ALWAYS wear comfy shoes. I love my all black Toms; they are super comfortable and very versatile.
Ahhh… take me back already!
