Can you believe it’s already August?! Where is the time going!!!!
I need to work hard this month and really take advantage of the last month of summer.

So I received a couple of samples of Gucci lipstick when I purchased something from Neiman Marcus the other day, and I thought I would swatch them and do a mini review for them.

The Gucci sample came with 4 different shades.

Gucci says their lipsticks are “Retro inspired with a modern feel, the Luxurious Pigment-Rich Lipstick grips the lips for bold, saturated color. The lipstick’s innovative formula contains a mix of waxes and resin for a sophisticated, weightless finish. The sculpted sharp-edged form was specially designed to give incredible coverage in a single swipe.”

Right of the bat, I can tell you the lipsticks felt so smooth and were so easy to swatch due to the pigmentation. On the lips they were very comfortable and had a soft satin finish.

Iconic Copper would be beautiful topper or “center-of- the-lip” color. But it was pigmented enough to be a stand alone so, Rock those gold lips, Girl!!!

Rose Dragee is a really petty mauve-y brown nude. This had very good pigmentation and went on the swatch and lips very smoothly. I initially thought that this color was very dupable (which it probably is) but in my collection of nudes the only one I found that was close was Charlotte Tilbury’s Hepburn Honey.

Iconic Red is just that, the iconic all american red. This was the most impressive of the group in terms of formula and pigmentation. I didn’t have any dupes for this color (because I don’t wear this shade of red) but I am sure there are a couple of dupes out there.

Dark Romance is a dark vampy berry color, perfect for fall and winter seasons. This went one smoothly and had decent pigmentation. I had a couple of dupes for this one in my collection including Revlon’s Black Cherry and Mac’s Hang Up.

I am super excited to see the new Fall beauty collections coming out in store, I will try to purchase and review as much as I can.

Over the weekend, we went and tried out this restaurant called Herb and Wood and let me tell you it was the bomb.com. Super good, here were some of the dishes we got and also my OOTD of the night.
