So the other day I felt like my skin was really dull and needed an extra pick-me-up. I went rummaging through my skincare cabinet looking for a good mask, and I found an old favorite of mine: Ren Glycol Lactic Radiance Renewal Mask.
I first started to use this mask when I was pregnant. I opted for more natural skincare, and needed a good mask to brighten my skin and safely help with hyper-pigmentation. Since Ren is an all natural brand using just fruit acids and natural oils to perfect the skin, this was a life saver for me during those 9 months.
Sephora. com describes this mask as, “A cocktail of four acids including glycolic acid from pineapple, lactic acid from passion fruit, citric acid from lemon, and tartaric acid from grape create multi-action exfoliation. It lifts dead skin and resurfaces to dramatically improve skintone, texture, firmness, and radiance, while minimizing the appearance of pores and reducing sun damage, hyper-pigmentation, and old acne scars.”
The Ren Glycol Lactic Radiance Renewal Mask is packed with amazing ingredients. In my last post, we discussed the awesomeness of glycolic acid, let us now look into the benefits of Lactic acid.
Lactic Acid is “Alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) extracted from milk, although most forms used in cosmetics are synthetic because that form is easier to formulate with and stabilize. In a pH-correct formula, lactic acid exfoliates cells on the surface of skin by breaking down the material that holds skin cells together. Lactic acid also has water-binding properties and, like glycolic acid (another AHA), may help lighten skin discolorations.” (Paulaschoice.com)
Awesome right? I love this mask. As an added bonus is smells like a citrus apricot jam. YUM! To use: apply to clean skin and leave on for 10 mins then rinse to reveal a radiant complexion.
